At its core, therapy is about finding belonging. Regardless of one’s identity or reason for seeking support, people not only want to feel like they belong in their own skin, but also within their relationships, family, community, and culture. When you meet with me, you’ll notice that my style is grounded, nurturing, and fosters trust and transparency—in my experience, therapy is most effective when we let down pretenses and be real people with one another. I believe that change and healing is up to the client, and my role is to help clients feel accepted and empowered to make these changes. Together, we’ll take a holistic approach that considers your family system, sociocultural background, trauma history, and personal identity. I will sit beside you in your fears, insecurities, dreams, and goals—meeting you where you’re at, while providing a sense of connection, safety, and perspective as we navigate these experiences in therapy.
